We are recruiting: Mooring Technician (MOORING)
Main responsibilities:
- Handles and operates the movement and lifting of materials.
- Handles cargo hoses connection/disconnection on export tankers and/or FPSO.
- Perform watchkeeping duties on export tankers and/or onboard the FPSO.
- Completes all splicing work on mooring ropes as required.
- Performs change out of mooring hawsers, chains and other rigging ancillary equipment.
- Completes mooring buoys inspections under supervision and as per manufacturers recommendations.
- Conducts mooring operations including line handling, winch operation, tensioning and securing mooring lines (FPSO).
- Performs fabric maintenance using hand tools and brush painting on marine equipment.
Technical Criteria 1:
Demonstrated ability to perform tanker mooring/unmooring, hose connection/disconnection, and floating offshore oil/gas maintenance. Skilled in rope work and experienced in operating mooring equipment, forklifts, and gantry cranes. Applies knowledge of lifting and rigging procedures, including signal use, and supports offshore and onshore maintenance tasks with competence in using hand and power tools. Physically capable and comfortable climbing marine pilot’s ladders (Jacob’s Ladder) to embark/disembark vessels.Candidate must speak English.
Technical criteria 2:
Proven commitment to safety through adherence to Control of Work procedures and active support of safety initiatives. Capable of performing watchkeeping duties, assisting with material preparation and painting, and handling mooring components such as wires, shackles, and chains. Learns through on-the-job training and adapts quickly to dynamic offshore environments. Completed CABGOC HES training and forklift operator, and motor vehicle operator certification required. HUET certificate required for FPSO candidates.
